Today is a day to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the singer Shin Hae-cheol in Korea.
I've been singing along to his music ever since his debut. I was so deeply saddened when he suddenly passed away.
It's already been 10 years, but I remember that time vividly.

So today, I transcribed this song, which is my favorite of his songs.

세상이 변해갈 때 같이 닮아가는 내 모습에

때론 실망하며 때로는 변명도 해보았지만


흐르는 시간 속에서 질문은 지워지지 않네

우린 그 무엇을 찾아 이 세상에 왔을까

그 대답을 찾기위해 우리는 홀로 걸어가네


세월이 흘러가고 우리 앞에 생이 끝나갈 때

누군가 그대에게 작은 목소리로 물어보면

대답할 수 있나 지나간 세월에 후횐 없노라고

The reason why his songs are loved is not simply because the melody is good and the lyrics are simple. He has done a lot of experimental music and wrote philosophical, straightforward and beautiful lyrics.
He has made songs that touch people's hearts.


So I think there is a reason why his songs are still loved a lot. I think his song was probably a cure for my mind.
