In the meantime, I've been too busy at work to post much. In the future, I'm going to write more articles and pictures.
The poem I uploaded today is based on my experience. I've wanted to take a picture of my hometown in a lot of heavy snow for a long time. It was a long time ago when I started to imagine this. I still go down there sometimes, but I couldn't see snow every time. Because it doesn't snow that often here.
So I have always imagined and dreamed that my hometown is snowing and I take pictures of the snowy landscape.
But when I finally went down to my hometown in January this year, I met a heavy snowstorm. I felt so good, and I took pictures and videos then.
It was a moment when I felt really good and relaxed. It's something I'll never forget for the rest of my life.
An early morning village with white snow
An early morning village with white snow By idea0404
Sitting by the window of the cold early morning bus
When I close my eyes, it unfolds
the scenery of the hometown village with white snow
imagine, remember, and miss
miss so much again
a piece of memory that became so small
the fear of not being able to go there again
be as thin and sharp as a dry grain
Nevertheless, in January of this year
Imagination becomes a painting
the piece of memory becomes a picture
It's piled up in my heart one by one
Still, it's a great feeling for me that the picture and writing can go well together. I expect a lot of changes for me this year. I think these good lucks can come together and help me get on my way.

This poem I transcribed today is a bit of an interesting one.
It reminds me of the political situation I am experiencing in Korea these days and the political and economic changes that arise as the current president of the United States changes.
The author of the poem was written at the request of Henry James during World War I.
The person who commissioned the poem asked the poet to write it with political intent, but he did not refuse and delivered the contents of the poem in a poem that emphasized complete silence.
It's a poem that's rebellious, not rebellious
He's a very smart person.
On being asked for a War Poem
On being asked for a War Poem
William Butler Yeats
I think it better that in times like these A poet's mouth be silent, for in truth
We have no gift to set a statesman right;
He has had enough of meddling who can please
A young girl in the indolence of her youth,
Or an old man upon a winter's night.
These days, the Republic of Korea is also suffering from numerous losses due to extreme political fights, and the situation in the country is also unstable. Only when we sort this out quickly and find a new path can we find stability. Here in Korea, we are in a state of great anxiety, discomfort, and crisis.

These days, I want to go out to the cathedral and pray. Please give us wisdom so that I can get through this difficulty wisely.

I'm studying Russian again these days. I stopped after learning for a long time, but I started practicing letters and conversations again.
Russian is funny in pronunciation and beautiful in the shape of the letters, which I see.
Лунная ночь - Владимир Маяковский
Будет луна.
Есть уже
немножко.
А вот и полная повисла в воздухе.
Это бог, должно быть,
дивной
серебряной ложкой
роется в звезд ухе.
1916
I also transcribed an English translation of this poem. The poem is written in a very simple and concise style, and it is not difficult to understand the content.
Moonlit night - Vladimir Mayakovsky
Moonlit Night
The moon is emerging.
It going to be here
soon.
Now, it hangs in the air, full and stark.
That is probably God,
with a divine
silver spoon,
groping in the fish-soup of stars.

I'm still not good enough to write very long sentences in Russian, but I'll keep learning the language and try to write a little longer. That's why I still like short texts more.
The poem I transcribed today is a poem titled [Flower being carried in a funeral car] by poet Jeong Ho-seung.
These days, Korea is experiencing a very deep winter. The economic situation is not good in politics, but there are many people who are facing the end of their lives due to the flu. Perhaps that's why there are so many people in funeral homes and crematoriums that they have to wait for their turn. It's really sad.
I went to the funeral because my relative passed away in the early fall of this year. I paid my respects and went to the crematorium together to attend the procession. I had a lot of thoughts. I'm also not old, so I thought I might be the main character of that funeral soon.
What direction is my life going? Will the same thing happen if I imagine myself a year or a week from now? Or will it flow in a completely different direction? It's a night where my thoughts grow.
This time, I'm going to deal with a poem about heaven. It's very short and concise, but it depicts heaven as a beautiful place. Also, he doesn't think living in heaven will be fun or happy.
I went to heaven By Emily Dickinson
I went to heaven, 'T was a small town, Lit with a ruby, Lathed with down. Stiller than the fields At the full dew, Beautiful as pictures No man drew. People like the moth, Of mechlin, frames, Duties of gossamer, And eider names. Almost contented I could be 'Mong such unique Society.
For many religions, heaven is the most ideal area, it is also called paradise, and it is the most perfect place to be religiously imagined. On a snowy day like today, I think it may look like a beautiful place where white snow has fallen and turned white.
I went to heaven
I post videos and photos of this poem transcribed.
The original manuscript
Originally, I thought the original photo was more fantastically compatible with heaven, but now that I posted it here, it looks a little weird. 😂😒

This poem that I've just posted here is a poem that I wrote in early December.
The President illegally declared a martial law on Dec. 3, but conscientious South Korean soldiers protested the president's order and many citizens blocked it, ultimately failing the martial law.
As I watched this process, I thought that the emergency martial law failed as a result of our nation's soldiers protesting against orders from illegal and unreasonable superiors and failing to follow directions properly.
On that cold winter night, I wrote down this poem, imagining that these soldiers would have hesitated and balked very much at the orders of their irrational superiors.

My disobedience_20241203
heart-wrenching cold wind
leaning his helmet against the rattling window
with a deep sigh
Tightened my boots with all my strength
Couldn't take a step further
Knew I was suffocating
Have the strength to stand in my place and endure it
Thought it would break like a wilted flower
That heavy step
It's been a slow, slow walk
_ You are not guilty

I linked a Cosmos photo here. I picked a photo that was a tiny, slender flower but looked like it was rebelling.
2024 was a year full of many changes and great twists and turns for me, and I think the Republic of Korea also had a very difficult time. Our country could have sunk with just one mistake. The people of the Republic of Korea and the National Assembly ran to Yeouido to prevent this, and the soldiers of the country defended the democracy that their seniors had built up under the name of mutiny.
In that sense, I wrote down this humble article.
The subject of my own poem to post today is a water lily taken in a pond in a park in late September. I believe you'll see why I wrote this poem when you look at this picture.
Waiting for winter..
The water lily is a flower that normally blooms for a long time. However, when the weather gets cold, it usually sinks below the water and waits for next year to get into hibernation.
This year, the summer has been unusually long, so the water lilies remained open until the end of September due to the continuous hot weather.
I imagined that this water lily would have clear memories of last year's winter. So I imagined that this water lily would prepare for the upcoming winter by coming up with memories one by one in the cold wind, snow, and ice.
Waiting for winter..
So cold and lifelike
Remember the snow storm
The green warmth fell to the ground
Remember the calm waves of the cooled lake
When the frost falls here
Her laughter slowly disappears
A shabby empty pocket with nothing to give
I'm fiddling
Have to say goodbye to half of my life
To the sun in the late morning
With long words in regret
Hold my arms around my heart
Preparing for a very long, long sleep

First, I write and edit poems in Korean and then transfer them to English. If you think the meaning of the poem is not well conveyed because I am not good at translating into English, please contact me immediately.

This time, I wrote down a poem after seeing a picture of a cosmos swaying in the wind.
The morning of this day I could see the sun slowly shining, and the wind was not very strong, not very small, but moderate. At the same time, I discovered a fantastic and clear cosmos and captured it on a camera with the wind. I took pictures and edited them, and the flowers in this picture looked very peaceful and uncomfortable. I wrote this feeling in a poem.
In the wind that tickled my earlobes..
In the wind that tickled my earlobes..
A night of sobbing, sobbing, falling asleep exhausted
The traces of tears shed in the deep darkness
The green wind washed it away
And then the wind whirls around me like it's about to touch me
I have been photographing as a hobby and I am active in Guri,Korea. For my own expression method, I take various flower photos and use a scanner to work on photography. So a small flower in the soil became a pleasant secret in my heart.
