This Experiment09 series is an experiment to spray water over a scanner to show rain or to express a foggy background.
If I spray water and leave it for a long time, the paper will eat water and become a bit of a weird shape, so I scan it back quickly and take the picture out.
Sometimes I spray water and stir it with my hands to create a wave shape.
I didn't actually shoot on a rainy day, but it's the right way to express the atmosphere of a rainy day.

This Experiment09 is a method that I use often, and I expect you to see it a lot on my blog in the future.
I made a video production method on my YouTube, so you can enjoy it.
Experiment09 - Scan with waterdrops
In the meantime, I link to the article about the results of the newly edited Experiment09 task.
This is a photo that I took of the water lily flowers at Jangja Lake Park in Guri on May 20, 2023 It's the result of editing and printing this picture in black and white and color, rolling the picture in a circle and putting it on the scanner at the same time, and scanning it. This picture was made by applying the working method of Experiment08. The title of the post I posted before is like [EXPERIMENT08 - PRINT TWO PICTURES ON ONE SIDE AND SCAN THEM]. If you look at my previous blog post, you can find out how I worked and how I scanned it to complete the results.

It's been almost a month and I still haven't heard from this contest. It's very strange. Usually, after about three weeks, they check how it's going, but it's weird.

I took this photo on October 18, 2023 at Guri Hangang Citizen Park in South Korea.
The weather was a little cloudy that day, but the sunlight wasn't too intense, so I was able to film the soft cosmos.
Fortunately, the shape of this cosmos was very harmonious and well-balanced, and the condition of the flowers was so perfect. 💜
I guess Cosmos was in good condition because the Cosmos Festival was held the following week in this park, and Guri City took good care of it.
Experiment07 series works are intended to show the life of a flower and before and after death.
If I scan the real flowers together, the purpose is to show relatively short-term changes that are more lively.
If I scan dry objects together, I'm trying to show a longer period of change, which I think is very closely related to the death of flowers.

This photo was taken by me around noon on August 20, 2022.
The place was Jungnang Camping Forest in Seoul, South Korea, and the weather on that day was raining all night, stopped, and the sun shone strongly.
The water droplets reflected from the sun painted a picture of stars pouring down.

Experiment06 Project is an editing method to give that feeling when you hang a picture on a long laundry line or something. I think it's a photo exhibition method that can give a fairytale feeling.
Even in the picture above, the sunlight is reflected by the raindrops on the grass and captured on camera, giving the impression of stars. It seems to be more clearly visible in the picture of color than in black and white. The location of the flower is on top, so I photographed it as if glowing bells are pouring out of the flower.
MONOCHROME AWARDS 2022 / Honorable Mention in Fine Art(Amateur)
ENTRY TITLE: A water Lily in Gwangneung Arboretum
The above picture was taken on June 4, 2021 at the National Arboretum
(Gwangneung Arboretum) in Korea.
It's fantastic because the building across from the water is shaking and shining.
The water lily, which looked lonely on the surface of the water in the background where the water seemed to flow, looked fantastic.
Monochrome Award is a contest that only accepts black and white photos. It is a contest where the number of photos selected is small and it is quite difficult to be selected.
I was lucky enough to be selected as an honorable mention in this contest, which made me quite happy.
When I work on this, I usually use a white remover to write letters
I usually write the name of the flower or my ID, and I don't think it's suitable to write a long text on top of a picture
I'm trying to write a word that goes well with the picture
This photo was taken on March 19, 2022. After it rained for a long time, I stopped by the library and saw a cornelian cherry blossom. It was the first flower to bloom in the middle of winter and spring, but I think it bloomed a little late at this time.
In my opinion, this flower is so small that it usually looks prettier when several flowers are put together from a distance. Still, I was very happy to see that it was a flower that led spring with yellow light.

In this experimental work, I tried to show the essence of objects in the same space, with black and white, and the colors that show the splendor of flowers in the same space.
I prefer this Experiment04 work and I'm going to post it so that you can see a lot of works in the future.
BIFA 2022 / Honorable Mention in Nature-Flowers (Non-Professional)
I received this award at the end of November 2022.
This picture was taken on September 12, 2022 at Jungnang Rose Park in Korea.
It looks like a blue whale's heart, so I named it as above. The reason why I named this photo like the title mentioned above was because when we took the photo and edited it, it reminded me of the flower petals surrounding someone's heart. Interestingly, someone felt like a blue whale.
This is a picture that I sprayed water on the scanner and posted a printed picture, and then scanned it by slanting the cell phone light.
This work was done to combine Experiment 09 and Experiment 17. I will introduce the explanation of each experiment in a different blog post later.
What you see above is a sign given to me by BIFA Awards. You can see the title for the work and my name and the category name you applied for.
As I'll slowly explain later, experimental projects can be either a single task or a combination of two or more tasks. These combinations can have other implications. When I submitted to this photo contest, I was questioned whether my work or experiments would be chosen by the judges, but I was very happy to receive this award.

I took this photo on May 23, 2021, with a manual lens, Nikon 55mm F2.8 micro lens. When I took this picture, the whole park was in full bloom with roses. Various-colored roses were showing off their beauty. In Korea, May is a month when a lot of roses bloom.
Experiment03 Project involves attaching a post-it on top of a photo and scanning it with a scanner. Sometimes, we write on the post-it, or we change the color of the post-it to pink, orange, or blue and attach it and scan it.
The reason for editing like this is to express my flower picture with a title.
If you go to the photo exhibitions of other famous artists, there are separate titles for the works. So I started this work with the title of the photo itself.

Experiment02 Project is the first work I'm going to do on a project that I'm going to put up. I think it's been about 5 years since I first started this project series.
Before that, I continued to photograph flowers. Then, I realized that I wanted to differentiate my photographs from other photographs.
So, while I was thinking about how to make my photographs look different from others, I found out that there were artists who created their own photographs with scanners and I started to make my own difference. The first work was this Experiment02.
I tried to find a direction at the time, but I didn't know what to do, so I crumpled the printed photo. And when I scanned it, I saw that the photo changed depending on where the scanner's head light was touching.
After I set the direction on my own, I applied it in a variety of ways and came up with newer methods on my own.
I have been photographing as a hobby and I am active in Guri,Korea. For my own expression method, I take various flower photos and use a scanner to work on photography. So a small flower in the soil became a pleasant secret in my heart.
